Mercer, the global consultancy looked at 230 cities worldwide taking into account housing, public services, political, social, natural and recreational environment to compile the best cities to live in. 

Businesses are understanding that if they locate in these cities they will attract the best people wishing to enjoy a high quality of life.

10. Basel, Switzerland

Roger Federer’s birthplace located on the Rhine. Over 40 museums and a hub for Roche, Novartis and other pharma companies.

9. Geneva, Switzerland

Geneva is Switzerland’s second largest city. It is at the South end of Lake Geneva with views of the Jura and Alps mountains. The United Nations has it’s home there as well as Richemont and Rolex. 

8. Copenhagen, Denmark

Netto, Danske Bank and Maersk are headquartered in Copenhagen. There are also historic churches, sweeping gardens and grand palaces. 

7. Frankfurt, Germany
